ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The objective of the Sports Management Undergraduate Program is to cultivate leading sports managers who possess the skills and equipment required by the 21st century. The program aims to train individuals who have internalized scientific and ethical values in the light of universal developments; who are productive, quality-oriented, entrepreneurial, and original; and who are respectful of the environment and humanity while remaining open to innovative research.


Program Goals:

  1. To provide the necessary professional competence required in the field of Sports Management.
  2. To ensure general cultural and intellectual accumulation by following current global developments.
  3. To instill the ability to plan and implement national and international sports organizations.
  4. To cultivate ethical and correct professional habits and attitudes alongside vocational skills.
  5. To train qualified Sports Managers who possess all national and spiritual values of our society and country.
  6. To develop sports managers with advanced problem-solving skills.
  7. To foster responsibility regarding the health, psychosocial impacts, and processes associated with sports participation, as well as the social contributions of sports.
Program Educatıonal Objectıves
  1. Graduates acquire sufficient theoretical and applied professional knowledge in their field and utilize this information effectively in the planning, organization, and analysis of sports organizations.
  2. By following current developments and research in Sports Management, they maintain intellectual accumulation and exhibit sustainable, entrepreneurial, and innovative leadership behaviors.
  3. They utilize information technologies effectively and possess the consciousness of continuous self-renewal and development by tracking advancements in their field.
  4. They plan and organize organizational activities according to the requirements of rapidly changing environmental, cultural, political, and economic conditions in Sports Sciences, conducting them in accordance with professional ethics and legal standards.
  5. They understand the universal, social, and individual impacts of sports organizations as required by the 21st century and use this knowledge to strengthen the physical and mental health of individuals.
Mıssıon and Vısıon

Mission: To train researcher-oriented sports managers who have adopted scientific and ethical values in the field of sports management; who are well-equipped, quality-conscious, innovative, and original; and who exhibit respect for the environment and humanity.


Vision: To become a leading, preferred department in the field of sports management with high national and international recognition; aiming to shape society and carry affection, knowledge, and development from the past to the future.

Career and Servıce Areas

In view of the significant need for trained individuals who understand the challenges of sports, our graduates are qualified to serve in the following areas:

  • Within central and provincial service units of the Ministry of Youth and Sports suited to their areas of expertise.
  • As managers within the central and provincial organizations of public institutions and organizations.
  • As managers at various levels within the administrative structures of amateur and professional sports clubs.
  • In tourist hotels, motels, and enterprises to carry out leisure time activities, sports organizations, and animation services.
  • In the establishment and management of private sports centers, and in the organization of "Healthy Life" activities.
  • As managers within the relevant cadres of local governments and in the organization of sporting activities in public or private organizations employing more than five hundred workers.

* Graduates are entitled to use the professional title "Sports Manager" in accordance with Article 43/b of Law No. 2547 as amended by Law No. 2880.
